CyTec Zylindertechnik GmbH was established in 1994 as a specialist in self-locking cylinders. Thanks to a policy of continuous development, CyTec entered the machines and tools clamping sector. The advent of HSK standard tools in 1994 allowed Cytec in collaboration with a known German machine tool manufacturer to develop a spindle technology. This ambition led Cytec to a core competency as a manufacturer of motor spindles. In 2002, Cytec developed the first equipped fork milling head with its own torque motors. This direct drive technology is now being used today in at least a thousand axis motors.
Milling heads: Cytec is a leading technical force in this development. All components such as bearings, rotary joints, swivel arm, axis brakes, power connectors are developed and manufactured by us. Cytec is looking to achieve milling heads ever more powerful and compact. The new generation "NANO" is representing this research with particularly small dimensions that drives digital axes 15 kW while ensuring high stiffness of the assembly.
Cytec Systems GmbH sees itself as a partner for machine systems with decades of experience, technical know-how and creativity. A look at the product line focuses on such self-assessment: Hydraulic and pneumatic locking cylinders, systems and components with positive locking, clamping motor spindles for both high speed cutting and for roughing, grinding and turning applications, multi-axis NC milling heads (in four sizes) dynamic direct drives, patented suppliers, highlight CyTec as a developer and maker of highest quality machine tool components. 120 main factory employees and 70 employees in subsidiaries manufacture the company's products. Despite its high production, capabilities and capacity, the company has not lost the values of a family business.
